Message from my reading: Quit smoking, use minimum alcohol, exercise and eat right.

In recent “Preventive Medicine” by Elsivier Publications, the following were the headlines

Smoking, alcohol, poor diet and inactivity are WHO’s behavioral Non Communicable Disease (not by bacteria, AIDS etc.) risk factors.

The combination of these four risk factors increased chance of early death about 2.5-fold.

If you smoke, abuse alcohol, do not exercise and eat poor diet, your chances of dying are 2 1/2 times higher.

If you are a man of 65 years and have above habits, its likely by 33% chance that you will die in next 10 years. If you are a woman its 23%
